HTC 500 has for a long time been appreciated for its efficiency and high capacity. The machine is more powerful than HTC 420, but still easier to handle than the HTC 650HDX. In addition, there are all the advantages that the last updates have lead to – increased life time on ball bearings and beltings and reduced costs. During 2004, several changes were made on the machine that improved the capacity in a wide range of ways. The visible changes include the new casing, and the grinding head, compatible with the EZchange™ tool system. Inside, the machine has a whole new construction, with new hubs of the same type already used for HTC 420 and HTC 950 RX. The new hubs lead to reduced need for maintenance and improved capacity. The machine has three extra weights for a variable grinding pressure and changeable shaft pivots.
Standard equipment
The following items are standard on all machines: safety bar of galvanized steel tube, puncture-resistant wheels, quick-release connector between electronics and motor, splash guards, extra upper belt, water tank, key to lock the electrical cabinet, C-spanner for grinding discs, suction hose with y-connection and hours counter.
